New Brush Kit Contains 12 Mini Cross-Hole Deburring Tools

Small holes are a big problem for manufacturers. Removing metal burrs from the intersection of cross-drilled holes can be challenging, even when the holes are larger than a few millimeters or a fraction of an inch. Manual deburring is common, but it’s time-consuming. Automated deburring saves time and supports consistency, but automation alone isn’t the answer. Manufacturers need the right cross-hole deburring brushes for the job, especially when the holes are small and expectations for a burr-free finish are high.

Miniature Stainless Steel Brushes
Miniature stainless steel brushes for cross-hole deburring are both versatile and corrosion-resistant. They won’t remove the base material or change part dimensions either. These stainless steel tools are also non-loading, which means that they won’t become clogged with particles and debris. Stainless steel brush tools with longer filaments conform closely to part contours.  Brushing tools with shorter trim are suitable for demanding applications. There are other specifications to consider, too. With even the best cross-hole deburring tools, one brush size won’t fit every hole.

12 Brushes in 1 Kit
Plus, what if you’re still unsure that stainless steel brushes are right for your application? If your only option is to invest in a large set of cross-hole deburring tools, the cost might keep you from trying the products that you really need. That’s why Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM) has introduced brush kits with miniature stainless steel deburring tools in a variety of sizes. Buying a BRM mini brush kit lets your try or test several different brush-tool sizes before investing in a larger set. The cost of this special 12-piece mini brush kit is generally less than the standard 12-pack, too.

Small Brush Sizes
BRM’s Series 81-A brush kits contain the miniature cross-hole deburring brushes that you need for micro burr removal, internal cleaning, rust removal, and surface preparation. Each kit contains 12 cross-hole deburring tools in either inch-based or metric sizes. The inch-based kit (Part No. 81AKIT) contains mini brushes in these sizes: .032, .047, .054, .079, .094, .109, .125, .142, .156, .172, and .189 inch (in). The metric-sized kit (Part No. 81AMMKIT) contains cross-hole deburring tools in these sizes: 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6 and 6.5 millimeters (mm).

Double-End Pin Vises
Each BRM mini brush kit also includes a double-end pin vise, which provides a safe and secure way to use these deburring tools. Double collets on both ends make this tool holder exceptionally versatile. For users, it’s important to note that these brushes can also be run under power. Do not reverse the brush inside a hole, however. If you like the cross-hole deburring tools that you try, remember that each BRM brush can be ordered in 12-piece standard packs. As a full-line supplier of surface finishing solutions, we can supply larger-size stainless steel brushes, too.
