SHOT Show 2014 to Feature Flex-Hone® for Firearms (Booth #4447)

SHOT Show is one of the largest and most comprehensive tradeshows for the firearms, ammunition, hunting, outdoor trade, and shooting accessories industry. Commercial buyers and sellers of military, law enforcement, and tactical products and services also attend this premiere trade-only event, which attracts industry experts and is sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).

From January 14 to 17, the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas will host the 2014 SHOT Show and provide 1,600 exhibitors with booth space spanning 630,000 net square feet. Although this year’s shooting, hunting, and outdoor tradeshow (SHOT) will host 62,000 industry professionals, attendance is limited to those who can demonstrate a direct, professional affiliation.

Visit Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM) in Booth #4447
For professional gunsmiths, gun owners, and members of the firearms industry who want superior surface finishing solutions, the Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM) booth is the place to be at SHOT Show 2014. Visit Booth #4447 in Sands Expo Level 1 and learn why the BRM Flex-Hone® for Firearms is the right gun tool for finishing and polishing barrels, cylinders, chambers, slides, and magazine tubes.

Built with a metal twisted wire stem and abrasive mounted to flexible nylon filaments, the Flex-Hone® for Firearms is used with handheld power tools and rotating spindles to produce a high-quality finish that’s free from smeared, fragmented, and amorphous metal. Use BRM’s flexible hones with shotguns, rifles, revolvers, pistols, and paintball guns to produce a plateau finish with oil-retaining valleys for optimum lubrication.

Flexible Honing for Barrels, Chambers, and Cylinders
Flexible honing can improve the surface finish on any smooth bore, including a shotgun barrel. The Flex-Hone® tool removes oxidation and corrosion, blends out scratches, and removes nicks that cause plastic adhesion. The gun tool’s low-temperature, low-pressure abrading process also removes built-up residue, promoting accuracy and reducing wear while keeping smooth bores at the precise dimensions required.

Flex-Hone® for Firearms tools also produce a surface finish that helps rounds fall from the cylinder and eject from the chamber. Gunsmiths, gun owners, shooters, and hunters appreciate how flexible honing makes emptying and reloading smoother and easier. This improved surface finish also allows reloads to enter quickly and smoothly with reduced brass scarring.

Flexible Honing for Slides and Magazine Tubes
In addition to barrels, cylinders, and chambers, the Flex-Hone® for Firearms is ideal for imparting a long-wearing surface to the slides of automatic pistols and the magazine tubes of shotguns and rifles. Flexible hones can be used on any type or size of cylinder, and help improve firearms function and extend the life of your weapons.
