Industrial Machinery Digest Covers NamPower™, Flex-Hone® for WESTEC

For readers of Industrial Machinery Digest, WESTEC 2012 offers an opportunity to see the NamPower™ brush tools that made the cover of this month’s magazine.  WESTEC attendees who visit Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM) in Booth 1517 can also see the Flex-Hone® tool that’s featured on page 41 of the March 2012 edition. From front-page photos to inside pages, Industrial Machinery Digest covers BRM’s brush tools in great detail, setting the stage for a great manufacturing tradeshow.

Flex-Hone® Tools for Cylinders
BRM’s Flex-Hone® tool features small, abrasive globules that are attached to flexible filaments. Available in eight different abrasive types and 12 grit sizes, this flexible honing tool is suitable for cylinders of all types and sizes. With its long life and soft cutting action, the Flex-Hone® produces a plateau surface finish with a non-directional pattern for optimum lubrication. By using the Flex-Hone® in a machining center, parts manufacturers can improve surface finish and automate burr removal at the same time.

NamPower™ Disc Brushes
WESTEC 2012 attendees who visit BRM in Booth 1517 can also learn how abrasive nylon disc brushes remove tool marks from flat milled surfaces, and are great for deburring machined parts, punch press parts, and gears. NamPower™ abrasive disc brushes feature flexible abrasive nylon filaments that both remove burrs and improve surface finish. Available in dot and turbine styles, these industrial brushes can be used with automated machinery, CNC machining centers, transfer lines, and robotic cells.

NamPower™ Wheel Brushes
As Industrial Machinery Digest explains, abrasive nylon wheel brushes are often used instead of wire wheels and non-woven abrasive brushes. NamPower™ composite hub wheel brushes are designed for either off-hand or machine-based deburring, and used for both surface finishing and edge radiusing. With their uniform filament density and multiple cutting points, NamPower™ abrasive nylon wheel brushes are ideal for turbine blades, steel gears, machine parts, cam shafts, and cutting tools.

Miniature Brushes
Visitors to WESTEC Booth 1571 can also learn how manufacturers are using BRM’s miniature brushes to finish and deburr holes as small as .024 inches. By automating edge radiusing and deburring, these manufacturers are eliminating hand work and achieving cost savings. Available in different filaments, some of BRM’s miniature abrasive nylon deburring brushes are impregnated with diamond for use with ceramic, glass, aerospace alloys, and hardened tool steel.
