Deburring and Surface Finishing: NamPower™ Abrasive Disc Brushes

NamPower™ abrasive disc brushes are professional-grade brushing tools for in-machine deburring, edge radiusing, and surface conditioning. They are easily integrated into manual and automated finishing machinery, including CNC machining centers, transfer lines, and robotic cells. Industrial applications for NamPower™ abrasive disc brushes include extrusion and fine blanketing, appliance manufacturing, and the deburring, cleaning, surface preparation, and resurfacing of plastic and aluminum automotive parts.

NamPower™ abrasive disc brushes are part of the new NamPower™ family of brush tools from Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM). Made of flexible abrasive nylon filament manufactured to a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic base, these abrasive disk brushes produce maximum burr removal rates and optimum surface finish. NamPower™ abrasive material brushing tools are available in two styles, dot and turbine, for use in general-purpose and medium to heavy-duty deburring applications.

Dot Style NamPower Abrasive Disc Brushes
Dot style NamPower™ abrasive disc brushes are suitable for general-purpose edge deburring and surface finishing applications. They are an economical choice for light deburring applications when short cycle times are important. Dot style disc brushes provide superior flexibility and allow entry into small holes and spaces. These brushing tools are available in three sizes (100, 125, and 150 mm), two trim lengths (18 and 38 mm), and with four grit choices (80, 120, 180, and 320).

Turbine Style NamPower Abrasive Disc Brushes
Turbine style NamPower™ abrasive disc brushes are the ideal choice for medium and heavy deburring applications. BRM’s unique combination of silicon carbide and ceramic filaments allow these brushing tools to cut faster and last longer than any other industrial brush on the market. The brush’s turbine style filament is a high-density fill that’s ideal for short cycle times and long tool life. Turbine style abrasive disc brushes are available in the same sizes, trim lengths, and grit choices as dot style products.
