The show’s motto, “More than Machine Tools,” underscores the message from Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, Executive Director for the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association, the organizer for EMO Hannover 2011. In a recent interview with Eurotec magazine, Dr. Schäfer warned how machine tool suppliers must find new ways to compete and win. “New technical solutions alone are not enough,” he explained. To succeed in a business environment that requires greater resource efficiency, customers need solutions to meet their specific “manufacturing challenges”.
True to this year’s trade show then, the Brush Research booth (Hall 11, A53) at EMO Hannover 2011 will feature products to help manufacturers solve their specific deburring, edge blending, chamfer blending, and surface finishing problems. BRM’s Michael Miller, VP of Global Sales, will review technical drawings, troubleshoot applications, and field your questions about Flex-Hones and industrial brushes. He’ll also introduce a new line of high-performance abrasive tools for applications ranging from roughing, rust removal, and gasket cleaning to spot cleaning, weld cleaning, and more.
The new Nampower™ product line from Brush Research consists of professional-grade abrasive disc brushes and composite hub wheels for in-line machining and deburring systems. There are three different disc brush styles: Dot, Turbine and Hex-Drive to meet specific manufacturing challenges. Dot Style brushes are designed for general-purpose deburring and surface finishing applications. Turbine Style brushes are designed for medium and heavy-duty deburring applications. Each Dot and Turbine Style Nampower brush is equipped with a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic base, and comes in a variety of abrasive types and grits. Our Hex-Drive disc brushes allow the tool to be turned in both directions for a 360 degree finish. In addition to the disc brushes, BRM will also offers Composite Hub Abrasive Wheel brushes to complete the Nampower line. Their unique construction and flexibility provide a longer lasting product with less filament breakage. Nampower uses include, but are not limited to, metallics, super alloys, composites, advanced composites, metal matrix, plastics, and ceramics.
