Honing Tools for Engine Restoration

We are constantly looking for great content on how our tools are used by our customers. We recently came across this article that describes "the purchase, retrieval and restoration of an Oil City Boiler Works/South Penn cross-breed engine purchased by the North Jersey Antique Engine and Machinery Club." This multi-part editorial series gives excellent detail of the restoration process from start to finish.
What caught our eye was when the use of Brush Research's "ball hone [was recommended] to clean up the cylinder bore instead of the flapper wheel." Just a few passes with our flexhone "cleaned up the cylinder walls considerably."
It is always great to see our customers applications and see how our products are used. For all of you active bloggers or forum contributors, keep posting information on BRM products in use. We will do our best to post your content on this blog for everyone to benefit from. Happy honing!
