Flex-hones for Firearms and Gunsmithing

So, what ELSE can a Flex-Hone do? Yeah, we know all about cylinder refinishing and cross hole deburring...but what about something that goes BANG!

The Flex-Hone can be used on any smooth bore applicaiton and one exciting use is its many applications in the firearm industry. From OEM's to gunsmiths, to end users, people across the world are seeing how they can enhance and protect their shotguns, rifles and revolvers with ball hone tools.

Reid Coffield at Shooting Times magazine did a nice little piece talking about smoothing shotgun barrels. He's got a couple neat ideas, like how to make sure you keep the tool from reaching to the choke. (of course there's a Flex-Hone for forcing cones and chambers too....just sayin)

Another blogger, whose name I must say that I love, Hombre Sin Nombre (the man without a name for you spanish impaired readers) talks a bit about cleaning up his shot guns for cowboy action shooting (SASS) over here. In addition to the ball hone tools, he also brings up a good point. Using abrasive nylon tools in conjunction with the Flex-Hone gives you way more to clean up!

Check out BRM's, the manufactuer, site on their Flex-Hone for Firearms.
